Charge Your Phone During a Hurricane With These Solar Products

    September 06, 2019 2 min read

The resiliency of America's cellular network is good news, but it doesn't do any good if your phone has no battery life. Smart phones, even if at 100 percent battery, can go dead in a day, which is far less time that it takes for the power grid to be restored in the worst natural disasters. With that in mind, here are solar-powered devices we recommended using to make sure your cell phone has endless battery life.

For solar-powered phone chargers, we recommend the GoSun Flex-10. TheFlex is a solar cell phone charger which easily folds up and produces and incredible amount of electricity to charge all your USB devices. It can charge up your phone with its built in usb port as fast at your plug in outlet.

What if you need a battery pack to store even more energy? In that case, we recommend the GoSun Chill. The GoSun Chill is great for many reasons. We've mentioned in other blog posts that it cools better than an ice cooler, holds way more drinks, uses far less power than a car fridge, and never needs ice.

But something that gets overlooked is how great the Chill's portable lithium battery pack is. Beyond powering the Chill, it can also charge your phones (up to three at once), any USB-enabled electrical device, and even power the GoSun Fusion, letting you cook your food and keep it hot while keeping your drinks cool.

The Chill, with its powerful output of 15 amps at 12 volts, is essentially one of the only batteries of its kind that can power all 12 volt devices. These include such electrical devices as air compressors and fans.

With these solar powered devices at your disposal, you won't be cut off from civilization when the grid goes out.
