When you need to feed a hungry family, lasagne is a sure crowd pleaser. Special thanks to GoSun user Terry Urbine for submitting this delicious recipe!
Yield: 4 Servings (Add 20 minutes for a double recipe)
PrepTime: 30 Minutes
Cook Time: 90 Minutes

6 Lasagne Noodles, pre-cooked to al dente, halved as needed to fit pan
2 cups Spaghetti sauce
1 cup Sausage, cooked (we use Dobbins hot with extra sage)
3-4 cups Mozzarella

1 cup Parmesan
1 Egg, beaten
2 cups Ricotta Cheese
1 tsp. Basil
1 tsp. Garlic salt
1 tsp. Oregano
2 tsp. Parsley
Salt & Pepper to taste

GoSun Solar Oven Lasagne

Start stove preheating to #3.

Blend filling ingredients together, reserving 1/2 cup parmesan and 1 tsp. parsley and set aside.

In greased pan spread 2 tbsp. sauce, then a layer of noodles. Spread an even amount of filling mixture over noodles, then layer with sausage, then cheese, dot with sauce and cover lightly with parmesan. Repeat until close to the top of the pan. Finish with mozzarella and parmesan, then sprinkle with parsley.

Some recipes for one cup micro wave meals, would easily convert to evacuated tube cooking.r tracking.

Freezer bag back pack meals should rehydrate well with boiling water.

The go pro tripod or handle bar mount system stabilizes solar tracking.

Still toying with it’s limitations and abilities. My Rand solar tube oven is too bulky with not enough capacity

An idea for the GoSun sport: make lasagna rolls. You might be able to fit two to four lasagna rolls into the tray. Any lasagna rolls that does not fit you could freeze.Lasagna freezes well. You could also use leftover pasta and make a lasagna casserole. That would have the flavors of lasagna without the fuss of making lasagna noodles.

I agree with Mary Rogers as I live alone and don’t need to cook that much food at once.

I would love it if we could have a version for just two people with the smaller GoSun cooker. As a new user, I am unsure what quantities will fit in our tubes.

    Roasted Grape Tomato Sauce
    Roasted Grape Tomato Sauce

by Jesi Solomon March 20, 2018

This is a really simple tomato sauce that can be made with any type of tomato. I use them because in summer I’ll grow grape or cherry tomatoes and when you have way too many to eat fresh, this is a good way to use some of them.

My wife is obsessed with pumpkin. I blame Starbucks with their Pumpkin Spice Latte. There’s pumpkin spice everything nowadays.
