We have added below the directions for making them in either the Go solar cooker or the Sport solar oven. It's up to you how much candy cane you use! Love it? Add a ton! Don't like it at all? Add a dusting or none. Enjoy and have a wonderful holiday season!

GoSun Go Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 oz. refrigerated sugar cookie dough
  • 2 TB butter, softened
  • 1 TB cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup confectioner’s sugar
  • 1/8 tsp peppermint extract
  • 2 crushed candy canes

Directions:

Divide the cookie batter evenly into 2 Go silicone baking pans.  Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.

While the cookies cool, combine the butter, cream cheese, sugar, and peppermint extract in a sealable sandwich-size bag.  Knead well. Once the frosting is soft, cut a small hole out of the corner of the bag. Gripping it like a cake decorator bag, squeeze the frosting onto the tops of the cookies.

Crush candy canes, sprinkle over the frosting, and serve!

Roasted Grape Tomato Sauce
Roasted Grape Tomato Sauce

by Jesi Solomon March 20, 2018

This is a really simple tomato sauce that can be made with any type of tomato. I use them because in summer I’ll grow grape or cherry tomatoes and when you have way too many to eat fresh, this is a good way to use some of them.
